Panel Discussion: The state of groundwater resources in the Australasian region. This panel discussion will address the current state of groundwater resources, future challenges such as competing uses (agriculture, mining and the environment), future development in groundwater resources (for instance Northern Australia) and development in the governance and policy domain.

Panel Discussion: Social license to operate (sponsored by Geoscience Australia). The panel will discuss the challenges posed by the growing need to account for community acceptance of businesses and their impacts on groundwater. It will address the role of social licence, what it means, what it might require, how it can be responded to, and its interaction with other obligations, such as law.

Panel discussion: Groundwater and Climate Change. This panel will discuss the current state of knowledge of climate groundwater interaction. The panellists will discuss the research gaps which prevents us from predicting the impact of climate change on groundwater resources.
