The position’s objective is to deliver research outcomes from NCRIS Groundwater Infrastructure data to improve the understanding of groundwater processes and their connection to climate variability and change. The position is primarily based at the Water Research Laboratory at Manly Vale with limited fieldwork throughout New South Wales. This is a full-time position for a 1-year period commencing 1 July 2018 . The position is funded by the NSW Government’s Research Acceleration and Attraction Program.
Overview of the Faculty/School/Divisional Work Unit
The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering comprises 48 academic staff, 120 research centre staff, and 26 professional and technical staff. Its recurrent income is about $18M per annum, with a further $15M in research income.
The School has about 1,600 undergraduate students, 500 postgraduate coursework students and about 200 postgraduate research students. The School is one of the most active in research at UNSW.
